The Technology Management Center (TMC) is a multi-disciplinary program of the University of the Philippines (UP) in Diliman, formally established back in February 1995.

TMC serves as a world-class center for advanced education, research, and extension services in the new and dynamic field of Technology Management. It is the first institution of its kind in the Philippines and in the ASEAN region, being an interdisciplinary undertaking
What is Technology Management
Technology Management is a multidisciplinary field that is all about the planning, development, implementation, monitoring, and controlling of technological capabilities of an organisation!
This can range from R&D, product development, to marketing, across different industries, from manufacturing, food tech, hardware and software development, even education.

UP TMC Graduate Program
The TMC offers graduate courses leading to the degree of Master of Technology Management (MTM). The MTM program uses an interdisciplinary approach that combines business management, engineering, and the social and physical sciences. It is the first ever graduate program of its kind to be offered in the country, and in the University of the Philippines.

Meet the Professors

Edison Cruz
Executive Director
Prof. Edison D. Cruz is the current Executive Director of UP TMC. He is directly in-charge of the center’s graduate program, research and extension activities. Prof. Cruz has an MBA from the University of the Philippines College of Business Administration and a BS in Business Economics (Cum Laude) from the
UP School of Economics.

Glen Imbang
Prof. Glen Imbang is one of the core professors of UP TMC. He excels in teaching, research, and consultancy in most areas of Technology Management, particularly as in strategic technology planning and forecasting. Prof. Imbang holds double Masters degrees in MS Biology (U.P. Diliman) and Master of Engineering and Technology Management (University of Queensland).
